Terms and Conditions for Artist Residency
1. Introduction
Welcome to Lost Artists. These Terms and Conditions govern the participation of selected artists in the residency program. By accepting a place in the program, participants agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
2.2 The residency is open to artists working in photography.
2.3 Applicants must submit the following materials by the specified deadline:
- CV
- Portfolio
- Letter of motivation
3. Duration and Residency Period
3.1 The residency duration will be one week, starting from October 13, 2025, and ending on October 20, 2025. Additional dates may be available as specified on the residency website.
3.2 Participants are expected to remain at the residency location for the full duration unless prior arrangements are made and approved by the program organizers.
4. Residency Benefits
4.1 Participants will receive the following benefits:
- Accommodation
- Fujifilm cameras for instant photography workshop
- Mentorship
- Networking opportunities with fellow residents
4.2 Any additional benefits will be outlined in the residency agreement.
5. Obligations of the Artist
5.1 Participants are expected to:
- Participate fully in the 7-days of workshop activities.
- Respect the residency facilities, equipment, and other participants.
- Comply with all local laws and residency policies.
5.2 There are no specific deliverables expected from artists during the residency.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 All work created during the residency remains the intellectual property of the artist.
6.2 The residency reserves the right to document and use images, videos, or descriptions of the participants, and the artist’s work for promotional and archival purposes.
7. Financial Responsibilities
7.1 Participants are responsible for the following uncovered costs:
- Travel to and from the residency location
- Meals
- Personal insurance
7.2 The residency will cover the following costs:
- Accommodation
- Welcome drinks and snacks
- Transportation to locations in Capri, Italy, within the workshop schedule
7.3 Any damage to residency property caused by the artist will be the financial responsibility of the artist.
8. Payment
8.1 All payments must be made in full by the specified deadline to secure the residency spot.
8.2 Failure to make payment by the deadline may result in the forfeiture of the residency offer.
8.3 Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, credit card, or other digital payment methods, as specified by the residency organizers.
8.5 Deposit of 1,000 euro must be made to reserve the participant’s spot for the residency. This fee is non-refundable. Remaining balance must be paid in full by the date specified by the residency organizers.
8.6 Payment for the residency program can be paid in full (3,500 euro).
8.7 Participants are responsible for any transaction fees incurred during the payment process.
9. Cancellation and Refund Policy
9.1 Cancellation by Participant: Participants may cancel their residency participation by providing written notice. Refunds will be provided as follows:
- Full refund (deposit not included) of the residency cost if cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to the residency start date.
- No refund if cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the residency start date.
9.2 Cancellation by Organizer: In the unlikely event that the residency is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund of any payments made.
9.3 Administrative fees, if applicable, may be deducted from refunds.
10. Code of Conduct
10.1 Participants must behave in a respectful manner toward residency staff, fellow artists, and the local community.
10.2 Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the program.
11. Liability and Risk
11.1 The residency is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to the artist’s belongings during the residency.
11.2 Participants are responsible for personal insurance coverage for health, equipment, and travel disruptions.
11.3 The residency is not liable for delays or disruptions caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or public health emergencies.
12. Amendments
12.1 The residency reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes in writing.
13. Governing Law
13.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Italy.
14. Acceptance
By accepting the offer of a place in the residency program, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
15. Accuracy of Information
15.1 While the residency organizers strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, details regarding facilities, benefits, or schedules may be subject to change. Participants will be informed promptly of any updates.
